The Benefits of Bare Root Planting: Why You Should Consider it for Your Garden.

November to March is the ideal time to get those bare root plants in the ground, while they are in their dormant state. As their roots are then in direct contact with the soil, soaking up all the nourishment, they will quietly establish and grow strong underground, ready to flourish in the spring when the soil starts to warm up.

There is the misconception that there isn't alot to do in the garden during this time of year, but how wrong that is! The secret to a florishing all year round garden is in the planning, preperation and planting at the right times that give your plants and shrubs the very best start. Much of this is actually done in the winter months.

Ok, sometimes the garden doesn't always look its best in terms of flowers or bright colours, but most of the magic is happening underground and that is what is important and the benefits to bare root planting!

Roses are an ideal candidate for bare root planting. Like most bare root plants they are usually of higher quality due to their wider root spread than that of containerised plants and offer better value for money.

If you have never considered bare root planting before and don't necessarily need an immediate impact of a "ready" shrub or hedge, then this is certainly something to think about. It is often the most cost effective way, particularly if you are wanting a hedge row or a larger quantity.

We can supply top quality bare root plants and roses from our selected suppliers, arrange delivery and complete the planting.
