Snowdrops "In the green"

Snowdrops are a hardy perennial plant and are often associated with the first signs of spring, although they are a glorious winter flowering plant blooming delicate white bells as early as January and through until February and even March!

We are encouraged to plant Snowdrops in the Green, as they establish more reliably and quickly than dry bulbs in the Autumn.

“In the Green” simply means the plant is in active growth and still have their leaves.

Snowdrops in the green have been dug up after they have flowered, ready to be re-planted straight away in their new home, between February and March.

You may be surprised to learn that there are many varieties of snowdrop, all having their distinctive white bell-type flower, they come in different shapes, sizes and markings, making them an interesting choice for the first flower of the year in your garden.

We will be ordering in the next couple of weeks, so please do get in touch if you would like to place an order!
